Alison Barrett has lived in Llanfyllin for several years and has developed a strong understanding of the town.

Experienced in local democracy, governance, and the community and voluntary sector, with diverse communities; helping to strengthen engagement and consultation at the heart of local democracy ensuring everyone is listened to, and can influence local decision‑making.

She has led and managed organisations and teams, supported boards, and delivered quality services across LA, NHS and community settings. Established record of voluntary involvement, including youth leadership, advocacy, and supporting local groups and initiatives.
