Purpose of Extraordinary Meeting
The meeting was convened by the Mayor/Chair under Standing Order 6(a). Due to the time sensitive nature of the matters requiring determination, the meeting has been convened at shorter notice in accordance with the Council’s Standing Orders.
FC26-27/086 : Cae Bodfach – BRACE Events
Council considered the requests from BRACE to hold the Forest Garden Tour on 27 September 2026 and Apple Picking Day on 3 October 2026 at Cae Bodfach, together with the supporting information, risk assessments and insurance documentation provided.
RESOLVED: To approve permission for the two BRACE events to take place at Cae Bodfach.
FC26-27/087 : Christmas Market - Road Closures
Council considered the requirements and associated costs of obtaining a temporary road closure to facilitate an outdoor Christmas Market. Having considered the costs involved, Council agreed not to proceed with the road closure.
Council also agreed to invite Dr Mel Plant to switch on the Christmas lights.
RESOLVED: Not to proceed with the temporary road closure for the 2026 Christmas Market due to the associated costs, and to invite Dr Mel Plant to undertake the Christmas lights switch-on.
